Large, rambling and free-minded, Zoracon is definitely not the best organised of the Shires. There is a tradition of practical outdoorsy independence in many parts. The law is slow and badly organised, and brigands and other criminals are said to “holiday in Zoracon” when things are too hot elsewhere. Folk are superstitious, and any number of odd gestures, minor rituals and peculiar oaths are upheld. Small, scattered dispirited groups of Lomen and Ruhurdh lurk in the forests, and even normal folk tend to be active and restless. Known for its definitive musical styles, Zoraconian bards are sought all over Damarcus. Zorac Haven and Buckleford both produce high-quality musical instruments. Otherwise, timbercutting and herding are common. Gemstones may be fossicked from Cavernbridge overland to Flarrin Hill, and there are a large number of subterranean caves in this area. Ibrumasilim and Kinmarykh are the most popular of the incarnations.
