Away from the brightly lit main thoroughfares and shiny temples, Momnis is a crowded and impoverished district, thronged chiefly with the old poor who have lived in Ag-Darxes for many generations. It is the oldest poor suburb of Ag-Darxes, with many of its dwellings slowly decaying for the past three centuries. Many Kalamen dwell in Momnis, and many T’sai lho, and not a few of the more reckless and broken-down Argandarr that have jumped ship in Ag-Darxes. It is said that anything that can be found in Tixryn can be found in Momnis, in one of the innumerable tiny shops tucked down its dark and fetid alleys.
