Most of the people who live in Roan Castle are servants, or others who tend to the needs of the wealthier folk of Eleven Hills, Hastur’s Grove, and Monaxes; they are not desperately poor, and the district has a faded gentility. The fortress that gives this area its name is poky and crumbled, but is thought of affectionately by the inhabitants.
