The barony comprising the tip of the Hashab, the great peninsula in the north of the Empire lying between the bays of Maktab and Malash. The majority of the land is hot, dry savanna, flat in the south and undulating in the northeast. To the northwest is the mountain-ringed valley of the Tevurah, a wetter and cooler area where most of the inhabitants live. The climate is warm year round, with pronounced wet and dry seasons. Many of Hasaba's tropical plants and animals are found nowhere else in the Empire.
Elsewhere in the Empire, Hasaba, if it is thought of at all, is seen as an exotic backwater where crocodiles infest the rivers and Grixlini lurk in jungle-clad mountains. |
