I’m a People People person

Filed under: friends — lexifab @ 5:13 pm

My mate Evan has this band, The People People. You may have heard of them, but probably only if you already know Ev or one of the other members of the band. They’re hoping to change all that with the release of the incredibly spanky video clip for their new single “We are People People”.

It’s on Youtube right here. Go ahead and check it out. It’s really good (the song is infectiously catchy electropop, the clip is an engaging tale of dental heroism). You should watch it, you should encourage all your friends to watch it, because more views will help it go viral – in the good internet marketing sense – and you will be able to tell people that you liked “that clip with the teeth in it” before it was a ubiquitous interweb meme.

If they are the song-buying type, let them know they can get the current EP and the band’s previous album at the iTunes store, should they happen to use that particular appliance. I would consider it a personal favour if you bought the album, because Evan keeps giving them to me for free and I feel faintly bad about not contributing towards his band’s ultimate financial success. Especially when it’s, y’know, good music.

This has been an unpaid public service announcement from the Department of People People Promotions.

  1. Weirdly reminiscent of Iggy Pop’s “I’m Bored”.

  2. The quality was as good as stuff I’ve seen on tv video clips. For a while there I thought it was going to be a “brush your teeth” dental message 😀 The most disturbing thing was the next advertised video was “Maerdy boys wrestling naked” I stayed in a village called Maerdy in Wales in 1998. I wonder if I met any of them as youngsters. I’m not willing to click on the video to check though, I might learn more than I want to.
Anyone know the link between dental electric pop and naked wrestling?

  3. I have been wondering that myself.
